Liga MX is the top professional football division in Mexico. It was founded in 1943 and sees 18 teams battle against each other to win one of two titles available 2. Each season, Mexican fans get to watch two tournaments while European clubs play only one.
According to the International Federation of Football History and Statistics, Liga MX is one of the top leagues in not only North America but the entire world. In fact, it ranked as the world’s 10th strongest league for the first decade of the 21st century (2001-2010).
